This Privacy Policy explains how Ventuera (the “App”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the App.
If you are using the App on behalf of an organization (e.g., your institution/company), that organization may have additional policies that apply.

1) What information we collect
A. Information you provide

Account and profile information: such as name, email/phone (if used), organization details, role (e.g., student/moderator/corporate), and other details you submit in the App.

Content you create or upload: such as chat messages, task submissions, attachments, documents, images, or other files you choose to upload.

Support communications: information you provide when you contact us for help.
B. Information collected automatically

Device and app information: device model, OS version, app version, language/locale, network status, and identifiers needed for app operation (e.g., installation identifiers).

Push notification data: a device push token (e.g., Firebase Cloud Messaging token) to deliver notifications.

Usage information: basic interaction events needed for app functionality, debugging, and security (e.g., error logs).
C. Payment information
If you make payments in the App, payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store your full card details on our servers. Razorpay may collect and process payment information according to their policies.
2) Permissions the App may request
Depending on your actions, the App may request access to:

Internet: to connect to our services and load content.

Notifications: to send important updates and reminders.

Storage / Files: to download files and to let you pick and upload documents.

Photos/Media: to choose images for upload.

Camera: to capture photos (if you choose to).
You can control permissions in your device settings. Some features may not work without required permissions (e.g., uploading files without file access).
3) How we use your information
We use information to:

Provide and operate the App, including authentication, course/task/ideation features, chat, and file handling.

Send notifications you request or that are necessary for App functionality (e.g., status updates).

Maintain security and prevent fraud/abuse, including protecting accounts and investigating suspicious activity.

Improve reliability and performance, including diagnosing crashes and fixing bugs.
Process payments (via Razorpay) where applicable and to manage payment status.
4) How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
A. With service providers (processors)
We use third-party services to operate the App. These may process limited data on our behalf, such as:

Firebase (Google): for cloud database (Firestore) and push notifications (FCM).

Razorpay: for payment processing.
B. With your organization and other users (as part of app functionality)
Depending on your role and how the App is configured, some information may be visible to:

Your organization/admins (e.g., profile info, submissions, participation, or moderation logs).

Other users you interact with (e.g., chat messages and related metadata).
C. For legal and safety reasons
We may disclose information if required by law or if necessary to:

5) Data storage, retention, and deletion

We keep information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including providing the App, meeting legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements.

Chat content, submissions, and files may be retained according to your organization’s configuration and retention policies.

You may request deletion of your account/data (see “Your choices and rights”).
6) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7) Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

access, correct, or delete your personal information,

object to or restrict certain processing,

withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

8) Children’s privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country) without appropriate authorization/consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information without consent, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
9) International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own (for example, where our service providers operate). We take steps designed to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place when transferring data.
10) Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Effective date” and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the App.
